CB'S ROOKIES

at penn state university

A Special Education Service Organization

CB's Rookies is a student run service organization at Penn State University founded by Braeden Boyle in 2016. The organization is named after her brother, Christopher Boyle, who was born with global apraxia. Their mission is to connect students with disabilities to the community at Penn State. Their members visit local schools once a month and work with special education classes by creating fun and engaging activities for the students that foster academic and personal growth. Following these visits, the students and their families are invited to join PSU students on campus for a sporting event once each season. By doing so, all participating members are afforded the opportunity to become a greater part of the community.
